Strategic perspective
Based on WORLD 2035, version 5.3, 28 September 2026
Technical possibilities meet real constraints
Our working thesis: as digital intelligence becomes more capable and more widely available, other constraints may become more important. These include energy, financing and physical execution, as well as permissions, verifiable evidence and social acceptance.
WORLD 2035 connects 18 trend areas. It considers possible causal relationships and derives options for action. The 2035 horizon supports scenario thinking.
From a development to a decision
Understand the change
What development could alter an existing business model or operational workflow?
Identify the constraint
What would prevent a technical possibility from becoming useful in practice? A more capable model, for example, does not resolve an undefined authority to act.
Evaluate a limited response
What product idea or organisational decision addresses the constraint? What observation or test should follow before committing more resources?
Three connections to our work
Work and capability management
As automation changes work requirements, connecting individual capabilities with an organisation's needs becomes an important decision question. Talent3X addresses this through capability management. Its product approach connects evaluated work with individual profiles and organisational analysis.
Autonomous systems and bounded permissions
As devices or software take on more tasks, rules for permitted actions need to be considered. ARID examines part of this question at the level of device identity and integrity evidence.
Sensitive data and verifiable claims
When organisations need information for decisions, they also need to consider how much disclosure is necessary. AI.COREBLOCK explores one possible approach for selected claims derived from mobility data.
What would change our view
These theses would weaken if the expected constraints did not materialise, existing methods addressed them adequately, or new verification approaches cost more than the value they add. A lack of demand can also undermine a technically plausible idea.
Context and limits
The relationships described here are strategic views. They do not replace market validation, technical evaluation or an individual investment decision. A macroeconomic scenario does not demonstrate the performance of a Lockchain project.
