MVP developed
An MVP has been developed for ARID. The development focus connects device identity, integrity evidence and access rules for autonomous systems.
Technical approach
A device identity provides a defined reference. Integrity evidence describes selected claims about a measured software state. Access rules specify which action is permitted under which conditions.
Development stage
The MVP gives the research approach a tangible technical form. Further development focuses on deployment context, interfaces and the verifiable properties of the overall system.
Connecting identity, state and permission
Proof of identity does not establish secure runtime execution. A measured software state may change after measurement. Recency, revocation, permissions and system behaviour therefore need to be considered in the relevant application context.
Applications and expert dialogue
We discuss practical requirements for device identity and access control, and potential next development steps.
